Race attack

A 22-YEAR-OLD man walking home from work was the victim of a suspected unprovoked racial attack.

The young painter and decorator had just turned into Farnan Avenue, off Forest Road, Walthamstow, at 7pm last Thursday when he was approached from behind by three Asian youths.

They called him a racist and within moments he was jumped on and beaten in the face.

The attackers shouted abuse, calling him a 'white c***', before fleeing in their Mitsubishi Shogun people carrier.

Although the attackers stole a Sony Discman from the man, they threw it away before fleeing.

The three attackers are all aged around 22. The first has a slim build, is around 5ft 10ins tall with greasy hair, a red polo top and blue trousers. The second is of medium build, around 5ft 9ins, with dark bottoms. There was no clear description of the third.
