Bookies in knife hold-upBy Chingford GuardianA SCRUFFY man with a craggy face grabbed cash from a Chingford bookmakers in a knife-point robbery. He entered Jennings turf accounts in Sewardstone Road shortly before it opened for business on Sunday. The 58-year-old deputy manager was behind the counter. The thief pushed his way behind the counter, threatened the deputy manager with the knife and made off with £13,000.
