Restaurant robbery

AN ARMED robber burst into a Chinese restaurant late on Sunday night and stole cash from the till.

The man, armed with a handgun, went into the China Garden Restaurant, Markhouse Road, Walthamstow, at 10.25pm on Sunday. The gunman threatened staff with the gun and demanded the cash.

He escaped with more than £200 and one of the employee's wallets.

Police are scrutinising CCTV footage to try and identify the man. Anyone with information can ring Leyton police on 8529 8666.
