Council warning after woman is fined for noise
By Enfield IndependentA NUISANCE neighbour was fined by Enfield Magistrates Court on September 2 for persistently playing loud music. Carol Louis, 39, of Shepcot House, Cowper Gardens, was fined £100, plus £320 in court costs, for disturbing neighbours with her loud music. Enfield Council's public health team manager, Ivor Chapman, said: "Many people believe that playing loud music does not do anybody any harm, but it is one of the main complaints we receive regarding noise. "We will investigate anyone who fails to respect their neighbours by behaving in a way that causes a nuisance." 12:25 Thursday 26th September 2002
