Mums talks about daughter's death

By Enfield Independent

A WOMAN who turned to detective work after her daughter was murdered six years ago, will be making a guest appearance at Trios Banqueting Suite in Palmers Green next month.

Jacqueline Davies will be talking about losing her daughter, her detective work and how she has learned to cope and trust people again by turning to Christianity.

Mrs Davies' daughter, Suzanne, was living in Holland with her husband and three-year-old son when she was murdered six years ago.

Although her death was originally thought to have been an accident caused by smoking in bed, the painstaking efforts of Mrs Davies and her husband, Tom, helped bring to light the fact that Suzanne had been murdered by her own husband, Kevin Sweeney.

It also emerged that the killer had been married at least three times before, with the wives all mysteriously disappearing. Mr Sweeney has now been convicted and sentenced to 13 years in prison.

Mrs Davies, who lives in Aylesbury, is now keen to share her experiences and will be holding a talk and coffee morning for all interested next week. The event, organised by Christian Women's Viewpoint, will be held at Trios Banqueting Suite, 248 Green Lanes, Palmers Green on Tuesday October 1 from 10am to 12noon. Admission is £1.50 on the door. Creche facilities will be available.
