Man stabbed

A MAN was stabbed in the stomach after he refused to hand over his wallet and mobile phone to two men in Coronation Gardens, Leyton, last Sunday, at 1am.

The 30-year-old was approached by the two men. When he refused to hand over everything, his attackers pinned him against a wall and stabbed him.

The man was treated at Whipps Cross Hospital. His injuries were not life-threatening.

Police are appealing to anyone who saw the scuffle to come forward. Call DS Lowrie Smith on 8529 8666.
