Mugger strikes

A 75-YEAR-OLD woman was left with cuts to the head after a mugger pulled her to the ground as he grabbed her handbag in Morgan Avenue, Walthamstow, last Saturday at 11.50am.

The pensioner was treated for her injuries at Whipps Cross Hospital.

The mugger, described as a 25-year-old black man, ran off into Bucks Walk heading towards Wood Street.

Witnesses are asked to ring Leyton police on 8529 8666.
