Teen raped

A 15-YEAR-OLD girl was brutally raped while waiting for a friend outside an ice rink on Tuesday.

The girl was waiting outside Lee Valley Ice Rink, Lea Bridge Road, at around 7.30pm when a man struck up a conversation.

He grabbed the girl and dragged her round the back of the building, then raped her.

The Sapphire unit, which deals with rape incidents, is now appealing for witnesses.

The rapist was described as black with a slim build, around 20, 6ft tall, wearing a long black coat and blue jogging bottoms. Call DS Sims on 8345 4604.
