Yobs smash up two cars

By Wanstead and Woodford Guardian

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two cars were smashed up by a group of vandals on the same night in Woodford Green.

Thousands of pounds worth of damage was caused overnight on Tuesday, January 14 by the yobs who had taken both cars before crashing them.

The first incident saw the thugs break into a white H-reg Ford Fiesta parked in Princess Avenue, and then steer into the garden wall of a nearby house, causing £800 worth of damage.

The second attack involved a Renault Laguna parked in Worcester Crescent being crashed into a nearby Land Rover by what police say could have been the same group.

The vandals smashed the front window to get into the P-reg Laguna before releasing the handbrake and letting it roll down the hill.

Both incidents took place between 10.30pm on January 14 and 1.10am on the following day.

Anyone with any information about either incident should ring Sergeant Chris Macaloon at the crime prevention unit on 8345 2779.
