Air crews in TV showTHE Essex Air Ambulance featured in Tuesday evening's hour-long BBC documentary A Picture of Health. Film crews followed a handful of NHS workers over a single day last November to produce the look at some of the people who work within the NHS. Producer Steve Greenwood said: "I wanted to get across the sheer range of the work that is done as well as the dedication of the staff." Air paramedic Neil Peachey, from Harlow, featured in the programme, filmed attending emergencies, but also in incidental filming with a web cam strapped to his chest. The Essex Air Ambulance hopes the programme will raise awareness of all 14 air ambulance charities in the UK, and boost its fundraising efforts with each helicopter costing up to £1m a year to run, and with no Government funding available. 12:15 Saturday 26th April 2003
