Teen found on M25

By Enfield Independent

TRAFFIC coming into Enfield was brought to a standstill after a teenage boy was found lying in a pool of blood on the hard shoulder of the M25.

The teenager, aged between 13 and 19, was discovered on the stretch of motorway westbound between junctions 24 and 25 on Monday at around 4am.

The hard shoulder and one lane of the motorway was closed for three-and-a-quarter miles after the incident causing serious traffic congestion.

The teenager, who was of Asian appearance, was taken to Chase Farm hospital suffering from a fractured skull in three places, a broken wrist and chest injuries. His condition was described as critical but stable.

He is described as 5ft 6ins tall with green eyes and short brown hair.

Edmonton police are appealing for witnesses to come forward. They particularly want to speak to a lorry driver who stopped on the hard shoulder and approached the teenager at around 4am.

Police are also trying to trace another lorry which had French number plates and was seen in the area at the same time.

Officers are unsure how the boy was injured, one possibility is that he was thrown from a moving vehicle.

Anyone with information should contact DI Watson at Edmonton CID on 8807 1212.
