A FORMER Walthamstow man is hoping to trace former classmates for a school reunion.

Glen Dearing, who now lives in Scotland, was a student at George Gascoigne school in the 1960s.

He said: "I was contacted recently on the net through the web site www.friendsreunited.co.uk by several classmates who have sent me school photos.

"Some of the friends still live in the Walthamstow, Highams Park and Woodford areas.

"I am hoping to retire early to Greece soon , and I would like to organise a reunion in Scotland before I leave.

Mr Dearing has a photograph of the prefects at the time when he was at the school and has managed to put names to some of the faces.

Other former classmates he remembers are: Pamela Cove, Carol Tooze, Kathleen Uren, Ella Bradley, Sandra Pritchard, Brenda Scally, Frances Knight, Jill Facey, Linda Harper and Doreen West.
