Calling the old girls of Tanners End
By Enfield IndependentTANNERS End Girls Drill Class will be celebrating its 80th birthday next month. The club was founded in 1922 in Tanners End Church as a girls' alternative to the Boys Brigade. However, the main activity today is children's aerobics. To celebrate 80 years, celebrations will be held in Aylward School, Edmonton from 4pm on November 30 Events will start with a children's tea party and a dance display. Former members will then sit down to a birthday supper with Lord Ted Graham of Edmonton. Photographs from 1922 will also be on display.
