Purfleet FC

Purfleet (nickname Fleet) was formed in 1985 and now play in the premier division of the Ryman league having gained promotion as runners up from division one in 1993/94.

After playing in the Diadora, Essex & Herts Combination and Essex Senior Leagues Purfleet were accepted into the Isthmian League in 1988

Purfleet league honours include winning the Essex Senior League in 1987/88, and the division two championship in 1991/92.

On the cup front Fleet reached the third round of the FA Trophy in 2001/02 and the fourth qualifying round of the FA cup in 1995/96.

The club won the Essex Senior League cup in both 1986/87 and 1987/88.

They took home the Isthmian Associate members trophy in 1991/92 and the Essex Thamesside Trophy in 1994/95.

Purfleet players Paul Cobb and Lee Williams have progressed to Nationwide League division three Leyton Orient.
