The Beeb are feeling pretty smug at the moment after successfully keeping the verdict in the Little Mo trial and the identity of Phil Mitchell's would-be assassin under wraps until the episodes in question were aired.

Actress Kacey Ainsworth reckons it's just as well they did soaps that spill the beans, she reckons, are cheating the viewers.

"It seems to be policy on some shows to go to the press with stories about forthcoming storylines before they've happened and that's so unfair on people who are fans of the shows in question," says Kacey, who plays Little Mo.

"I think everything should be done to keep as many secrets as possible. You wouldn't want to be told the ending to a movie, would you? Same goes for soap storylines."

Kacey isn't naming names but can you think of a truly major Coronation Street storyline that hasn't found its way into the papers, pre-transmission?
