SIGHS of relief all round at the BBC following the horrifying snatch of a two-day-old baby from a hospital in the West Midlands.

The abduction came in the same week as Sonia's snatch of baby Chloe in EastEnders.

There was serious talk about whole episodes being pulled from our screens to avoid suggestions of insensitivity.

Happily, the real-life child was found and the storyline went ahead.
