I am always worried

I CONSTANTLY worry about everything. especially work i am always worried that people are talking about me and i worry that I might get sacked or something I just wish that I did not worry so much because it really gets me down and I do not think that I can take it any more. Please help me.

Agony Aunt says:

I do exactly the same thing, even though I know it's a waste of time and energy.

Try to take things as they come. Be prepared for the worst, but put it to the back of your mind until it happens.

That should be if it happens because usually things are not as bad as you think.

I go through scenarios about what could happen, what I will do and what I will do to solve it.

It's frankly ridiculous but I still do it and things are never as I imagined.

However, I now realise what I am doing and for the most part stop it before it gets out of hand.

You must be positive. Worrying is a negative and serves no purpose.

You can worry all you like but it won't solve the problem.

Try to live for today, consider the future and deal with things if and when they happen.
