The Year 6 pupil at the Buckhurst Hill school was awarded scholarships to Chigwell School, Bancroft Schools and the City of London School. After weighing up the offers, William, from Woodford Green, plumped for the latter and cannot wait to start The keen swimmer and hockey player, who wants to be a lawyer, said: "I was very excited to be offered a place at all three schools. I chose the City of London School because it felt right when I went there. It's close to the river and has excellent facilities" Daiglen School headteacher Christine Doughty said: "I'm delighted with William's well deserved success; it's some time since we've had such good results. William has been an outstanding pupil for the last seven years and I'm positive he will realise his ambition."
