Support on the web

By Borehamwood Times reporter

A new business support website to promote investment and jobs in the area has been launched by Hertsmere Borough Council.

Its Open4Business site, which has been provided at no cost to the council after a successful bid for funding from the East of England Development Agency, will help local businesses find information about available premises by putting them in direct contact with marketing agents.

It will also inform businesses about possible sources of funding and training support that is available.

Councillor Chris Dawes said: "This is an exciting initiative and I am sure it will be well used. A strong business sector in the community is essential for its wellbeing and this initiative will help to encourage new enterprises to come here and existing businesses to develop and expand locally. Visit www.open4business.info/hertsmere.
